Etienne lives with his mother Caroline in Rouen. For his sixteen years, his grandmother offered him a camcorder. Etienne then began filming his daily life: at home with his mother, in high school with his best friend Ludovic, at the ice rink where he trains for the French figure skating cup. Etienne is particularly interested in Ludovic's stories with girls. He is also interested in his geography history teacher, Laurent, whom he films insistently. Etienne does not make a film or a diary: he accumulates fragments of life, which he takes on the spot or that he enjoys staging for the camera. Etienne therefore records, or has his relatives recorded, what makes him laugh, what attracts him or what he thinks it is important to keep track of. But filming is not as innocent a game as he might have thought.
