Female hero Robert, called Bob, is invited to the villa of a friend who wants to visit a rag ball with him. When fitting a suitable costume, Bob meets the lovely Bessie, who leads a cleaning column from Blitzblank. Because of his rag costume, Bessy considers Bob a burglar. Since Bob immediately likes the perky Bessy, he leaves her in faith, hides his true identity and takes a job in her cleaning company. There she tries to convince him that he has to give up his crook existence, and he tries to convince her that he is the right man for her.
