Alexandra Sell's feature film debut tells of 58-year-old Annebärbel Buschhaus, who dreamed of a great career as a figure skater as a child. At the insistence of her dominant mother Irene, she finally studied medicine. Even though she has long since taken over her mother's doctor's office, she is not her own master, because Irene is still secretly in charge. In general, she makes her daughter feel like she is a huge disappointment. When she is also left by her husband for another woman at Christmas, Annebärbel is finally enough. At the age of almost 60, she decides to live her dream from now on. She puts on her skates, goes on the ice, and immediately the old passion is rekindled. In the ice rink, she makes an intergenerational friendship with the Berlin youth champion Jolina Kuhn and gets to know herself anew through the young woman.
