Film by Kasi Adamik, creator of, among others, debut tragiccomedy "Barking for a dog" and "Janosika. A true story." The action of "Pitches" takes place today and tells the story of several survivors who found themselves on the precipice, from where, as it seemed, there is no longer a way back. Meeting with a former footballer, suddenly change their fate, allows you to believe in your success and look with optimism to the future. The European Championships are fast approaching. The players of Polish in sweat forehead are preparing for elimination. The team's hope is 17- year-old Jacek Mróz from Zabrze, even foreign clubs are applying for this talented player. The near future, however, will turn out to be brutal for him. The action moves a dozen years later. The viewer witnessed the fall of the hero of the film, the moral and physical degrengolady of the former football star. The world of Jack Mroz is now melins and the darkest corners of Warsaw Central Station. Neglected and wasted Jacek walks on a continuous rauszu. The intertlot of circumstances caused him to lose his sporting passion and desire for a normal life. When everyone bet on him, he suffered a serious leg injury on the pitch that eliminated him from the squad. He was supposed to be the coach, but he didn't want to sell the games and dropped out of the game again. The work of a WF teacher - in primary school did not give any satisfaction. Alcohol, aggression, brawls are the next stages of degrengolady of an excellent footballer, progressing faster and faster hopeless attrition of an athlete who at one time was on a candlestick. He was not saved even by a loving family: devoted wife Eve and daughter Anielka. The losing professionally ambitious athlete began to roll to the bottom. Patience has its limits, after another jump of her husband, Eve does not withstand the tension and throws him home. In this way, Jacek goes from Zabrze to the capital. At warsaw station he meets a group of homeless people who kick the ball to pass the time. They quickly join them, drink together, roam the area together. Thanks to Jack, who discovers in his companions sports talent, people from the margins realize that the ball can be not only a way to boredom, but also the only way out of life's bend. Under the guidance of a seasoned coach who holds discipline with an iron hand, recent survivors begin to believe in themselves and eagerly prepare for the football championship for the homeless. Created by Jack, the staff consists of: Priest, Minister, Wariat (played by Maciej Nowak, journalist, well-known culinary and theatrical critic), Staszek, Górnik, Indor, Mitro, Mundek. Each of them carries their luggage of experiences and sad experiences, and yet they can unite into a harmonious team.
