In the evolution of the teenager, the "midfielder at the opening" is crowded the situations always decisive, always parable; the charming and talented hero (consummate strungar, studio student, gifted rugby player) goes through difficult trials (the foreman wrongs him, his lover neglects him, the hardened punks of the coast attract and confuse him, even seriously hurt him), but he overcomes them, in the end, brilliantly fulfilling all his vocations." The main hero, Andrei, is the "opening midfielder" in the rugby team of the shipyard in Constanta, where he works as a crook. "The angry young man" is in love with Aura, a former schoolmate, now a student in Bucharest, who, but, entering another entourage, has moved away from him. Opposing a theft, he will be seriously injured. In the hospital, he'll meet young nurse Gina, who will help him get better and morally. But his love for Aura has not faded. Oscillating between the two women, he'll lose both. The last sequence of the film captures Andrei on the train that takes him to Galati, where he will take the entrance exam at the college.
