The first post-war years. Vitka grew up without a father angry and not trusting anyone. The older brother was in prison. Mother worked hard. Their crowded communal house began to be visited by the construction foreman. Soon he became a boy's stepfather. Vitka hated him. The stubbornness and strength of his fists quickly led him to victories. The hero became the European boxing champion. But this victory did not bring him joy - the coach did not give his hand, and Victor himself did not accept the victory… "Viktor Krokhin's second attempt" is the first and only attempt by director Igor Sheshukov to make a movie not "by order", but in an honest way. The film was suspended in its release and did not appear until 1987.
