Love Goes Up and Down

Year 1946
Title Love Goes Up and Down
Original Title Kärlek och störtlopp
Description Film author Sixten Kennebeck will go to Åre to collect material for a new film. Journalist Vivi Boström hears about this and calls him to get an interview. Vivi edits a gossip column in an evening paper. When she is cut off by Sixten, she spreads a rumor that Sixten will compete in a downhill race when he comes to Åre. When Sixten arrives, he also meets as a downhill star. Skating princess Anne-Sofie Nylén also lives in Åre with her father and mother. Anne-Sofie's highest wish has always been to get into the film. She asks her father Sture to contact the filmmaker so that he can take that first step. Sture Nylén realizes that a completely different person, Fingal Andersson, is the film author and so a carousel-like confusion story is in full swing. Sixten Kennebeck is forced to pair both Vivi Boström and Anne-Sofie with parents and is forced to get engaged to Anne-Sofie. At the same time, a film director who also showed up at the hotel tries to persuade Sixten to write a type of film that is more "salable" than the one Sixten wants to write. It all ends after many turns with Sixten really carrying out an equally breathtaking and crazy downhill race. He gives the final kiss to Vivi Boström.
