Year 1950
Title Motorkavaljerer
Original Title Motorkavaljerer
Description Åke Svärd works as an assistant at various retailers Jonas Kvist. Through various inventions, he has tried to rationalize the company's inventory. Åke, however, is not high on the list, neither with Kvist nor with his sweet daughter Maj, whom he courtesy. The employer looks with envy at the competitor Augusta Klang across the street. She has managed to hire Nisse Grön as a tow truck. Santa easily boards Åke at Maj. The Blåsjö race, a large TT race, will soon be launched. A group of young motorcycle enthusiasts have joined forces under the name "Fritidsfabriken" and designed a completely Swedish-built machine, which they have given the name "Phantom". The machine is with garage manager Pelle Greiberg; you are looking for a good driver. Åke's friend Olle Eggert is a skilled driver but has been forbidden by his father to perform in competition contexts. Despite the ban, he wins a race. To avoid the consequences, he persuades Åke immediately after reaching the depot to play the winner. Even though Åke explains the right relationship, he becomes everyone's idol. No one but Maj believes him. Pelle Greiberg forces him to pledge to drive "The Phantom”. To get out of the troubled situation, Åke escapes to the country. His relationship with Maj has deteriorated further since she realized that he had something to do with Olle's girlfriend Gun Wall, daughter of the motorcycle company Wall. However, Maj and Gun track him down together. Gun's car is stolen and during a violent storm, the three are forced to seek shelter in a haunted house where they spend a terrifying night, haunted by a real, wanted desperado and the goat Karin in varying, temporary disguises. Eventually, they are rescued by the police and transported home by Director Wall. The Blue Lake race will start. Nisse Grön is supposed to drive "The Phantom", but Wall, who does not want competition, tries to get him out of the way. When bribes fail, he lets one of his henchmen, Baxter, beat down Santa before the start. Åke is registered for the race. For the sake of Fritidsfabriken, he agrees to stand up after all and goes to the race track at the last minute after an insane ride in a ragged T-Ford. It will be a dramatic race with a couple of difficult overturns. Olle Eggert, who received permission from his father to drive one of Wall's machines, is Åke's worst competitor. After several excursions off the track, punctures and engine failures, Åke manages to drag "The Phantom" over the finish line to victory. The shady Baxter gets a well-deserved round from Åke and Nisse Grön. Maize's heart melts before Åke's heroic feat and after Jonas Kvist has put his bags together with Augusta Klang and Olle and Gun have agreed, a triple wedding will take place. However, the traditional cannon photographer seems to have mistaken magnesium and dynamite on this solemn occasion. (http://www.svenskfilmdatabas.se/sv/item/?type=film&itemid=4320#plot-summary)
