Year 1985
Title Sällskapsresan 2 - Snowroller
Original Title Sällskapsresan 2 - Snowroller
Description "Somewhere in the sparsely populated area 1985" - at Brännströms Mekaniska AB in Ormträsk, Norrland. After a failed product development of a kick support prototype in plastic, director Brännström and his assistant Hedlund present the new product - a folk ski. Brännström intends to apply for development grants from the Ministry of Industry in Stockholm, and also decides that he and Hedlund will go to Kirchberg in the Alps to photograph the ski for a nationwide advertising campaign. At the same time at the ministry, "Kärran" is sitting in a meeting with his colleagues about the development grants to the northern small industries and precisely to Brännström's Mechanical, but interrupts to see Stenmark go slalom. At home, Stig-Helmer is playing with a stone hat with his large model railway when he gets a call from his friend Ole from Norway, who tells us that he has booked tickets for both of them to the ski resort of Kirchberg in the Swiss Alps with the bus charter company Snowroller. After a deliberate delay during the trip so that the somewhat disorganized travel company Snowroller's hungover tour guide, Nalle, has time to arrange a place for all passengers, the bus arrives in Kirchberg with Stig-Helmer, Ole, director Jönsson and family, the trend-conscious slalom club Samurajerna from Hökarängen and Hökarängen. The cart and her friend Lotta, who went down to surprise Nalle with whom she had a short love affair in Rimini the year before. However, Teddy bears little interest in Lotta and has other connections in the area. Disappointed, Lotta turns her interest to the ever-awkward and shy Stig-Helmer, who already on the first day manages to win the prize for today's mistake by having his bag chewed by a snow thrower while helping the English tourist and multimillionaire Algy get rid of his car. Wearing the quirky prize hat, he arouses Lotta's tender feelings. At the very top, the height-scared Stig-Helmer is forced to go to a beginner's school for children in company with the equally afraid of heights and flying. Slowly but surely they can start skiing on the more advanced slopes, where the former slalom-competing Kärran gets thrown out and the slightly less brilliant Ole just helpfully gets down despite a very advanced ski equipment. The loud and domineering director Jönsson decides, however, that his experienced wife does not have to go to any ski school but can learn by following his own skiing technique, which, however, turns out to be anything but model-like and repeatedly leads to his downfall when the Samurai slalom club suddenly show up. In the end, he also breaks his leg, but this only happens after a fight in the lift queue with a German tourist. Freed from her husband's dominance, Jönsson's wife, Gullan, can be courted by the flirtatious restaurant owner Rudi, but the connection only seems to lead to a change of soup recipe and problem discussions about plumbing installations in mountain areas. Nalle's feelings for Lotta start to wake up again after a while, and he tries in vain repeatedly to resume the connection. Stig-Helmer finally defeats him in a slalom competition for the tourists, but instead happens to go on a gliding kite and crashes into an advertising poster. Admittedly, Brännström and Hedlund have before that managed to invite Kärran and Lotta to a sour herring dinner with the promise that they will become advertising models for their new skis, which they also will be, but it is after all Ole and Stig-Helmer who conquer the women, and on New Year's Eve celebrate all about really. The party also includes the recently discharged director Jönsson from the hospital, whose wife decides new rules of the game in marital relations and that she will soon return to Kirchberg again to go skiing - but only in the company of her daughter. Six months later, during the Swedish high summer, Kärran comes to Brännström's company as the official representative of the Ministry of Industry to investigate the development grant. Somewhere in Stockholm, Stig-Helmer celebrates a wedding with a very pregnant Lotta and gets a real steam locomotive as a gift from Algy. While Stig-Helmer and Lotta push away with the locomotive, we see how director Jönsson again judges his wife - now on a sailboat.
