The film is about the adventures of İlyas, the son of a doorman, who tries to make a professional career out of his neighborhood soccer matches. Selami works as a doorman in an apartment. He doesn’t want his son İlyas to play soccer instead of helping him. Unbeknownst to his father, İlyas begins to play for an amateur team. He is also in love with a resident of the building named Ayşe, who is the daughter of bank manager Enver Bey. Bakkal Şevket forges a letter to İlyas from her. Discovered on the amateur team, İlyas transfers to the third league team Çelikspor. Once İlyas begins to earn money from playing soccer, he intends to marry Ayşe. Enver Bey, on the other hand, doesn’t see İlyas worthy of his daughter. When İlyas and his family come to ask for Ayşe’s hand in marriage, they are shunned. But later in the story, the tables turn.
