Description

George, a Lancashire sweep's help, borrows enough money to go to the Isle of Man and enter his home-made bike in the T.T. Races. On the steamer going over he loses his money and meets Florrie, secretary to a motor cycle manufacturer. In the trials his brakes give way, and unable to slow down, he wins easily and becomes favourite for the big race. However, he is too frightened to ride again and is easily bribed by rivals not to do so. Meanwhile, Florrie has persuaded her firm to appoint George their rider. Eventually he races and wins both the race and Florrie. [BFI]
