Paulo Roberto Cotechiño Centravanti di Sfondamento from 1983, doesn't have much of a plot but it's considered one of the most iconic films of the Commedia Erotica all'Italiana, a farcical type of comedy defined by vulgar, childish humour, much of which is erotic in nature.
It's inspired by the instant star status of South American players in Italian football teams and revolves around the title character as he struggles to find form due to his Saudade. Interestingly, the lead character plays for Napoli, predating Maradona's arrival to the team a year later. One more piece of trivia is that the music is arguably better known than the film itself, and continues to be used in football-themed shows on Italian television to this day. (Matt Micucci)
